A seminar for district and appellate administrative courts focused on novelties of the Law on Administrative Procedure

On September 16, 2022, EU Project “Pravo-Justice” together with partners held a seminar “Law of Ukraine on Administrative Procedure: key novelties, challenges and further steps”. The seminar was conducted for judges of the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal and district administrative courts of Volyn, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Rivne and Ternopil regions. The event was aimed at familiarizing judges with key novelties of the law and discussing potential conflicts and challenges that may arise after the law enters into force, and ways to resolve them.

On July 18-19, there was presented a report after rapid monitoring of justice in a wartime situation was conducted by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine with the support of EU Project “Pravo-Justice”, the Ukrainian Bar Association of Ukraine and other partners. The monitoring is aimed at identifying conflicting, declaratory and outdated norms that must be urgently addressed from law-making perspective during martial law.

RJRC Interregional Group Discussed Amendments to the Civil Procedural Code

On January 28, the Interregional Working Group of the Regional Justice Reform Councils (RJRCs) held a meeting dedicated to the “Optimization of the Civil Procedural Code”. Judges, lawyers, and academia from all across Ukraine practising in the civil jurisdiction, together with the national and international experts of the EU Project Pravo-Justice, highlighted and discussed the drawbacks of the Civil Procedural Code and came up with some recommendations on how to eliminate them.
